"God's Grace Is Greater than Our Sins!"

INTRODUCTION

Genesis 2:15-17 gives the warning of The LORD GOD to Adam, regarding not to eat fruit from the The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

Therefore, Adam’s action of disobedience to The LORD GOD’s command, to not eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The declaration was that Adam would surely die, if he ate the fruit!

Therefore, sin is the disobedience of The LORD GOD’s command!

So, the curse of Adam’s disobedience was DEATH, to all humans!

How Adam died was a spiritual death! His inner man ceased to exist, which was the part of him that communicated with God.

Which means every person that is born of a woman, and a descendant of Adam will die! This is the reason why Jesus said, “You must be Born-Again!”

Certainly, every human life is born with both and physical body (that was created from the dust of the earth) and a soul (which is the conscious, emotions, memory, and feelings) of every individual.

This is why Jesus emphasized the nescesity of the spiritual birth, which is produced by God’s Holy Spirit. If not, a person cannot see or enter the Kingdom of God or Heaven! Especially, with just a human body and a soul!

In other words, a human being cannot know, understand or enter the spiritual realm of God or Heaven, unless their inner man has been made alive again, by and through Jesus’ atoning work on the cross, which pays for each of our penalties and debts, of being a sinner, who is a descendant of Adam and also being a disobedient-transgressor, against all of the commandments and laws of God.

The blood sacrifice, that Jesus shed for us, as the “Lamb of God,” who takes away the sins of every creation in the entire universe, justifies us or places us in proper-right-legal standing, with the anger of God’s judgment against us and therefore, allows the Holy Spirit’s redemptive work (cleansing & restoring us, back to our proper relationship and fellowship with God! As the Holy Spirit, as our comforter, continues His sanctifying efforts with us, in us and through us, until our future glorification, when we will inherit our new bodies.

It was never the desire of The LORD GOD, for humanity to have knowledge of EVIL!

We could speak of the evil effects, of how the presence of Satan, in human history, has distorted and destroyed all the good and goodness, that God had desired for all His creation, especially humanity.

Now, all descendants of Adam and Eve are exposed and influenced to and by Satan, who beguiled the serpent.

As always, THE LIE “THE ART OF DECEPTION!” Is why devil, is called the father of lies.

After Satan was kicked out of Heaven by Michael, The Arc Angel, the only way Satan could enter the earth realm, was through an invitation by Adam, who had dominion over everything in the earth!

Hence, when Adam accepted the forbidden fruit, that Eve gave to him, it came with the curse, of The Lie! (Genesis 3:1-7)

From this passage, we learn that Eve should not have been talking to any other creature on the planet, except Adam. All creatures were subjected to their rule and instructions, not the other way around.

Like Lucifer, the woman Eve, had an admiration for that particular tree, in the middle of the garden. Eve desired the wisdom, she believed that the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil would give her, rather than to listen to the command of God, and what God had given her. (Genesis 3:6)

As we look closely to the narrative, Adam seemingly stood passively with Eve, when she was shopping and listening to the serpent.

There is no indication, that Adam tried to interfere with Eve’s actions towards taking the fruit, nor affirmatively receiving the fruit, from Eve, and eating the fruit also.

Romans 5:12–14 NLT

12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. 13 Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. 14 Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come.

I. Disobedience Requires The Grace of God, for Restoration Back To God!

The disobedient actions of Adam towards the command of the Lord GOD, is defined as sin, from a futuristic view of The Apostle Paul, who now has the possession and understanding of The Law of Moses.

However, Paul attempts to illustrate how such a disobedient action, enabled/empowered Satan to enter the earth realm, which Adam had dominion. (v. 12)

Since Adam is the father of all humanity. Because the seed of all humanity, comes from all men, who are descendants of Adam, through DNA. (v. 12)

Every human of the seed of man is cursed with death as a sentence for Adam’s disobedience, that was a result of Satan’s influence and invasion into the earth realm, authorized by Adam. (v. 12)

Not only is sin a state of being, with a HOLY GOD, as a result of disobedience to God’s command, but it produces, attitudes and actions, that displease and disobeys God’s commands and design for humanity in HIS KINGDOM. (v. 13)

However, God’s displeasure of the disobedient attitude and actions of the serpent, woman and Adam did not result into sin, because there had not been any LAW to transgress against, until it was given to Moses, to present unto the congregation in the wilderness. (v. 13)

Death to all humans, is proof, that everyone has been cursed by Adam’s disobedience to God, which it’s effects are not fully known or understood, but from a futuristic review, such behavior would be defined as sin. (v. 14)

A person who was dying a physical death, during the period between Adam and Moses, does not declare that they guilty for braking any of God’s commands, that resulted in their death. Everyone understood that death, was just a conclusion of living life on earth, and they are carrying the curse of being descendants of Adam. (v. 14)

Adam is a symbol, because he was made in the imagine and likeness of The LORD GOD! (Genesis 1:26-29) (v. 14)

Therefore, Jesus Christ would need to come in the human form and likeness of Adam, to break the curse of both SIN (disobedience) and DEATH (separation from RIGHT STANDING WITH God! = HOLY!)

Romans 5:15–19 NLT

15 But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. 16 And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. 18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.

II. The Graciousness of God’s Gift is Christ, The Remedy To All Creation!

There is no equal comparison, between the contrasting value of Adam’s sin and God’s Gracious Gift (v 15)

The action of Adam’s disobedience, to God’s command, condemned an entire human race, to experience spiritual separation from God and physical death on earth, which would result in eternal damnation. Forever separated from God. (v 15)

The actions of Jesus, on the cross, made it possible for to receive:

God’s wonderful Gift of Grace is Greater (v 15)

God’s Gift of Forgiveness (v 15) Is The Repairer of Relationships

The results are extremely different when comparing Adam’s sin, which has led everyone to condemnation. (v.16)

The results of God’s Gracious Gift, leads to our being Right with God, from our Adamic DNA Sinful Nature (v 16)

Also, God’s Gracious Gift make us righteous with ALL THE MANY OTHE SINS we are guilty of committing. (v 16)

The One Sin, caused by Adam, has always dominated the entire human race, fearing physical and eternal DEATH! (v 17)

God’s Greater Gifts to every Human is

God’s Wonderful Gift of Grace

God’s Gift of Righteousness

Everyone who willingly and freely RECEIVES God’s Greater Gifts of Grace and Righteousness (v 17)

Will live in triumph over:

SIN (victory in the earth)

DEATH (victory in the earth & spiritual realm)

Adam’s One SIN

brings CONDEMNATION (v 18)

Christ’s RIGHTEOUS ACT

brings RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with GOD (v 18)

brings NEW LIFE to Everyone (v 18)

Because One person (Adam)

disobeyed God

many became SINNERS (v 19)

Because Another person (Christ Jesus)

obeyed God

many became RIGHTEOUS (v 19)

Romans 5:20–21 NLT

20 God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. 21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

III. The Abundance of God’s Grace, Provides Right Standing & Eternal Life!

The purpose for God’s Law to be given to Moses

So that all people, could see how sinful they were. (v 20)

As people sinned more and more

God’s wonderful grace, became more abundant (v 20)

Since Adam, sin ruled over all people and brought them to death

Now, God’s wonderful grace, rules instead

Giving us right standing with God

and resulting in eternal life

through JESUS CHRIST our LORD!
